RoseMoon Birth Services (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information—including personal information collected from or about children under the age of 13—in accordance with applicable laws including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Virginia privacy laws.

We may collect the following types of personal information from clients and their families:

• Parent/guardian’s name, phone number, email, and address
• Child’s name, date of birth, medical and health history (as provided by a parent or legal guardian)
• Emergency contact information
• Notes from doula visits, care planning documents, and any information voluntarily shared during services

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 years old via our website. All information about children is collected from a parent or legal guardian for the purpose of providing doula and postpartum support services.

The information we collect is used solely for the purposes of:

• Providing birth and postpartum doula services
• Creating care plans and offering sleep support or newborn care
• Communicating with parents and guardians
• Complying with safety, legal, and professional obligations
• Internal business operations (such as scheduling and invoicing)

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

We may share personal information only in the following circumstances:

• With your explicit consent
• With medical professionals or caregivers, with parental/guardian authorization
• If legally required, such as in response to a court order or to protect the safety of a child or others
• With secure third-party service providers (e.g., scheduling software or encrypted email services), only as needed for our operations, and always with privacy protections in place

In compliance with COPPA, we:

• Do not collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent
• Use information about children only for service-related purposes
• Allow parents or legal guardians to:
  • Review the child’s information
  • Request correction or deletion
  • Withdraw consent at any time

• Lodge a complaint with the Virginia Attorney General's Office if you believe your data is being mishandled
